Sedik awoke, doused in acid and alchemical liquids, to the last of the winter snow falling on his face, and the sound of a knight in Plate metal clanking through the rubble, searching for something. The knight errant, in fact a Champion of Sarenrae, pulled Sedik half-conscious from the rubble, and carried him on horseback to Saringallow, where he paid the barkeep for a week's stay for Sedik, before moving on. Sedik never saw the knight again, and the only memento he has is a carved symbol of the Dawnflower that the knight left in Sedik's room. Sedik spent the week recovering, tending to his severe burns. History

Early life

Born in 4681AR, he was trained from birth to fight in the Goblinblood wars, though when he more fervently expressed an interest in alchemy, his parents allowed him to train as an alchemist, a profession both natural to and respected by hobgoblins.

He fought in the Goblinblood Wars as a Battle Medic, though he spent a lot of that time producing alchemical bombs rather than truly healing. It was crude alchemy, though it taught him the basics.

Banditry

As the Goblinblood wars came to a close in 4701, disillusioned with the Goblinblood chain of command, and blaming them for the failure of the war, Sedik fled the south, escaping to central Isger, and as such, avoided the burning of Chitterwood. (LN-->TN) Over the next 18 years, he lived life as a marauder and petty bandit, raiding caravans that passed through the Concerica straits, often coming into clashes with the Isgerian Army. In the late winter of 4719AR, as Spring was bringing the snowmelt, Sedik and his raiders tried for an ambitious raid on a trader caravan that was travelling between the towns of Logas and Saringallow. Unfortunately, the caravan had a military escort, and the raid did not go well. As Sedik was fleeing, an enemy spear struck him in the back, piercing his backpack and causing a violent reaction of the alchemical reagents he was carrying. The resulting explosion levelled the ruined shack that Sedik had been running towards, burying him in the rubble.

Rescue

At the end of his week's stay, and short on coin, Sedik decided he needed to move on. (TN-->NG)

By sheer luck, Bort Bargrith’s trade caravan happened to be stopping at the Inn, and Sedik joined up as staff in exchange for passage and food.

Investigation of Plaguestone

Sedik was a part of the investigation of the alchemical corruption of Plaguestone.
