Angau (The Eternal Memorial) [LN]

When the gate fell, and the hordes breached the central keep, I thought all was lost. But it was then that the old coroner stepped forward, and I saw how Blackstone Keep had stood for all these years. His eyes burned with a searing white light, and before that harsh halo, the undead faltered, and faded to ash.

- Unknown survivor of The Second Siege of Blackstone Keep

Angau is the god of remembrance - they ensure the dead are respected and their physical forms are interred correctly. Their worshippers include morticians, pyre tenders, undertakers, and graveyard keepers, as well as the usual shamans or spiritual leaders.

Across Baleteia, cultures have many ways of respecting dead friends and family; customs may vary from tribe to country to city, but the remembrance remains the same. It is this respect which Angau protects and reinforces, ensuring the dead are properly ritualised, and that those committed shall not return as undead.
