Behold the adventures of the inheritors of Dawnsky Keep!

Session 1

Sat in the Rose's Last Thorn listening to an old man reminisce about his adventuring days and decry the Shadow Cats' Parade, a modern band of adventurers. At Old Man Harvey's behest, and under the influence of excessive ale, we formed a rival group: Geezer's Last Hope.

The next morning, we attended the reading of the last will and testament of the Starlit Halberd's old leader. It was a rather dry affair until it was announced that the Halberd's old base, Dawnsky Keep, was up for grabs by any new heroes brave enough to try and claim it. We announced we would try for the keep, and so did the Shadow Cats. When Harvey spoke out against them, they threatened him and we had to step in. The situation resolved peacefully, and Harvey gave us an old map of the wilderness where the keep was said to be. We set off that very day into the wilds.

Deep in the forest, we found a Shadow Cat member webbed up by a giant spider. We managed to free them, and suggested they leave this occupation. After fording a river and narrowly avoiding an orc warband, we found the flying keep. The tower was a fair few feet off the ground but we managed to ascend to the sally port through canny use of rope and pitons.

Inside, we managed to trap the bulk of the Shadow Cats inside one of the armouries. This have us time to get to the roof and confront their leader. Thalia and Truz managed to occupy him long enough for Sancho to appeal to the consciousness in the keep. It listened, and Dawnsky Keep was ours!

Session 2

Upon returning to the village, we parked the keep rather awkwardly and went to meet Old Man Harvey. He had made some brooches for our group. Also, he had heard rumour that Ronton, a nearby village, was having some issues with Kobolds. We set off eagerly after apologising to the merchant who's space we had parked in.

Whilst flying to Ronton, we met Ferlin, a winged sky postman. He delivered a letter intended for the Starlit Halberd from a nearby kingdom, Egon. It was a request for help in tackling a looming evil.

We landed roughly in Ronton and met the mayor, who explained that the kobolds had been stealing all kinds of metal equipment from the mines. After resupplying at the keep, we set out to the mines to hunt some kobolds. En route, however, we ran into a pair of the buggers setting an ambush. Truz managed to freeze both of them in ice during our counter-ambush. He cut one to pieces and took the other captive. Rukkuk, the captive, told us there were many more kobolds in the mines. They had found an old dwarven forge, and their shaman had put them to work trying to make something called the Dragon Hammer.

We took Rukkuk with us so he could point out traps. In the entrance to the mines, he immediately betrayed us by trying to fake the disarming of a gas trap. We figured him out and he died to his own scheme. Sancho stole his mask and disarmed the trap properly. Deeper in, we found a simple forge adjacent to a dining room. Nearby, we were attacked by a screeching bird-like creature. We found a study which had some interesting books on the Red Hunt, dragons, forges, and hammers.

Eavesdropping on a conversation about the hammer revealed this was being run by a male human and somebody else. A woman tried to get the drop on us, but we captured her in the end. She revealed that she was the sister of the man, and he was member of the Red Hunt plotting to steal the Dragon Hammer as soon as the kobolds had built it. Their boss, Golmadre, was the mastermind.

As there were apparently a lot of cultists around, we returned to Ronton to recruit some miners for help.
