The Evils of Illmire

From Heathen's Gap Wiki

Folk say ruins out in the swamp have been uncovered that hold large amounts of gold.

Elwyn

A mischievous gnome trapsmith who came in search of a dragon in the Whitepine mountains.

Elspeth

A friendly minotaur, bodyguard of Elwyn.

Ridlav

A dour man-bat from the Eastern Reaches who came in search of a giant crystal palace that glimmers from the top of the Klepperhorn.

Ælric

An amicable drunk magician who came in search of the secrets of the fortune teller that can be found near the King's Highway.

Polmut

One of the urod (newt-folk), a species which inhabited the Illmire region in antiquity. Polmut heard of Yorivar, the druid, and Ava, a young woman, going missing suddenly.

Laccaria

A sentient fungus evolved by the mycelial network out in the swamps of Illmire in response to the meddlings of the cult with the natural environment. Laccaria feels that the cult is doing strange things to the fungus forest in the far north-west of the region.

Kazaaakplethkilik

An enterprising chitos (mantis-man) explorer from the far north who journeyed here to discover the truth of the failed mantis expeditions in this area. Kazaaak heard that there was once a great fort in the swamps, but it sunk under the mud. He had also heard rumours that there is a great wizard's tower somewhere in the forest.

Emira

A young girl from Illmire who's father died in a mining accident relatively recently. Yorivar told Emira that the Green Witch Vosethra went missing a little while ago.

Epilogue

In the weeks after the second siege of Illmire: Priestess Nivendra returns to town from the wilderness, telling tales of a giant fearspawn out in the wilds. Kazak travels to the Capital, where he is treated for the curse that The Deathly Spade has afflicted him with. Polmut and Kazak move in to the old watchtower, ensuring it will not be used by bandits again. Emira turns 16 right at the start of summer, and invests her money into founding an adventurer's guild - it is a joint venture between Norma, Tirkog, Ballard, and herself.
