Ingri, self titled as Ingri the Primrose Guard, is a human fighter of changeling heritage. As a changeling, she was no stranger to being shunned by others in society, however it is what lands her the role that would define the rest of her life. After years of adversity, she is taken into the guard of a noble home in Taldor. Seeing her worth in the form of her exotic nature, they are eager to take her on, although she does not protest this gross use of her heritage for it is the only job she has ever managed to hold. During her tenure, she falls in love with the daughter of the family, a beautiful woman named Primrose. With long honey coloured hair and deep brown eyes, she is the most stunning woman Ingri had ever seen. More importantly, Primrose never looked at her as if she were a grotesque oddity to be laughed at or kept like a pet.
However, as with everything in her life, the happiness did not last. On one fateful night, Ingri was standing guard at the bottom of Primrose's tower when she heard a shriek. Sprinting up the spiral staircase, she kicked the door down only to find Primrose bleeding out on her bed, a gushing wound across her stomach. As she gasped for air, Ingri held Primrose close to her chest, hold the wound down with hopeless futility. She felt the cold air billow in through the window where the murderer had escaped, but her sole focus was her great love wilting in her arms. Despite it all, Ingri never confessed her feelings, deciding to not burden Primrose with such knowledge in her passing. With all the pain and trauma, Primrose passed somewhat peacefully in the arms of the changeling, her struggling stopping as soon as she was in Ingri's embrace.
Suddenly, the lord and lady of the house rush in to find their only daughter dead, clutched by the horrible creature they had given a chance of rehabilitation. Without hesitation, Ingri is thrown into the cells where she would lament her loss, not of her freedom, but of the sunshine that had been ripped from her life. In the end, Ingri spent more time a prisoner than she ever had a guard, but managed to keep somewhat strong in the cell with daily exercise, anything to prevent an onset of madness. The day came, however, where she could put her athletics to use. The estate is raided and Ingri takes her chance in pulling the old cell door of its rusted hinges. Sneaking up out of the basement cells, Ingri claims a great axe from the wall for protection and proceeds further up to go out. She is, however, stopped by the sight of a bandit holding the lord of the estate at knife point. In a sudden fit of rage, she tapped into her magical blood and hurled the great axe over her head, slicing into the bandit and barely missing the lord. She tells him that he is the only thing left of Primrose before being dragged out by the other bandits. She is then captured, the great axe and other valuables stolen with her, sold on to slavers. This is how she makes it to Okeno and becomes part of the Okeno prisonbreak.
